Caribbean Crush (Living Arrows)
Welcome back to my photo adventure, Living Arrows, which is about celebrating childhood. Each week I share photos of both Shalini and Shivam from our week. These are simple photos that capture a moment of childhood.
Of course, we’ve been on holiday and I took a break from the blog. This is the first Living Arrows in about three weeks. So it makes sense for this one to be pictures from our holiday in the Dominican Republic, which started before half term and sadly, as with all holidays, came to an end last week. The kids both had a fantastic time. Now that they’re both older, we were able to leave them to their own devices. Of course we were only across the pool or I was relaxing on a sun lounger not far away. I always had them in my sight but we had to watch them like hawks when they were younger. We had to be in the pool whenever they were.
Both of them practically lived in the pool the whole time and there was no way I had the energy or inkling to do that all day. I liked dipping in and out, but my reading time or just chilling with a frozen mocha was very important.Shalini and Shivam are such confident swimmers and were diving, doing forward rolls and hand stands to their heart’s content. They equally loved their time in the sea, jumping waves or snorkelling with their Daddy. Now the sea is another story and one of us were with them in the water at all times when we took to the beach.
I’m looking forward to sharing lots more photos and details on what we got up to in future posts.
Such great shots! Now I’m longing for sun! #LivingArrows

Thank you. All credit to my husband. I’m so glad we had that time away. I’m all ready for Christmas now! x
Looking at these pictures whilst sitting here, wrapped up warm, the rain pouring outside makes me very envious!

Yes looking at them now, back at home in the UK, makes it so surreal. Feels like a distant dream and it was only last week x
It sounds like you had a fabulous time – I’m very much looking forward to the day we can go on holiday and get some time to relax too while the boys entertain themselves! #LivingArrows

Oh it’s the best thing when they’re a bit older and more independent x
Your holiday has looked just so lovely and I am already looking for our next holiday too. I’m the same as you – a little bit more relaxed around the pool but totally on guard in the sea x
