Out In The Wild

Out In The Wild

If you follow my blog, you will know I love buying clothes from Boohoo. Most of my summer wardrobe was filled with items from the online fashion brand and my suitcase for my upcoming holidays is also kitted out with their gear.

So I could barely suppress my joy when they reached out to collaborate. This was a really big deal for me because it’s a brand I actually love and use regularly throughout the year. They asked me to choose a dress and post a guide on how to wear it in different ways. Just to be clear from the outset, this is not a paid promotion but I do get to keep the dress.I had a look through their dresses nd shortlisted several I really liked. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see I’m in love with Boohoo’s midi-dresses at the moment. Here are a couple I’ve been feeling lately:Out In The Wild - Yellow Shirt DressBoth of these shirt dresses are comfortable and lightweight. Yellows and mustards are my favourite colours at the moment during this season. I love that they’re long sleeved because it means I can ditch the cardigan if I want to.Out In The Wild - Mustard Shirt DressI decided I would go for another midi dress as they’re so comfortable and apt for Autumn. I’ve also been buying a lot of animal print lately so this leopard-print wrap dress really stood out. The soft orange colour immediately leapt off the page and I decided this was the outfit for me. It has a belt which you can tie either at the front or back. It’s such a versatile dress and can be dressed up or down. It’s really comfortable and lightweight so I can see myself reaching for this on many an occasion. Orange is a colour I most definitely associate with Autumn (think pumpkins!) so this really works for the season.I like that even though it’s a fairly smart dress, it can still be worn casually. In this look, I’ve teamed it up with a black fine fluffy jumper and white converse. It looks great as a midi skirt. In this look, I’ve tied the belt at at the back. The dress can also be worn with a chunky knit. I teamed it up with a pinkish nude cardigan and a pink scarf. My trusty stone suede boots from Aldo finish off the look. At first glance, you would think the leopard spots are black and white but they’re actually a soft pink and so the dress works really well with various shades of pink, nude, camel, tan and stone. This is a perfect way to wear the dress for a sunny Autumn day and it’s something I would most certainly wear when going for a coffee with my friends, a casual lunch or a trip to the cinema on a Saturday afternoon.I could easily wear this dress to work too. Normally I would add boots for the office because I rarely wear heels to work. But I tried camel court shoes in this look and they worked perfectly. In fact, you could go with any of the colours I mentioned above. And to take it up yet another notch, you could even throw in a blazer if you wanted to make it look even smarter. What I like most about this outfit is that it can easily go from day to night. If I wanted to dress this up for an evening out after wearing it during the day, I would dispose of my boots and add nude heels and big hoops and probably scoop my hair up into a high ponytail. This pink fluffy jacket would finish off the look nicely for those chilly evenings. In terms of outer wear, you could get away with wearing a either a long coat or even a short jacket. I’m particularly in love with my faux fur jackets at the moment as it’s still fairly warm and my winter coats haven’t come out just yet.A brown faux fur jacket would work well with a pair of brown boots too for a casual-smart look.I’m really pleased with the dress I picked out and know I can get many uses from it during the Autumn season. Boohoo has many midi-dresses in lightweight materials at the moment and with just a bit of experimentation, you can make them look different every time.

I can see why you like the bright orange color–it exudes so many cheerful and positive vibes! I also like how you shared different ideas/outfits for this dress. It’s great you played with the light pink color in the leopard print spots, it really adds a nice attention to details.

I love the cut and design of the outfits but the colours don’t suit me I’m afraid. Perfect autumnal shades but also bright and bold. Thanks for linking up with #globalblogging
