Another transportation option is to take the metro. The station is located in the same area as the train station. Take Metro Line 50 (Direction: Gein) or Line 51 (Direction: Amstelveen Westwijk) and get off at the RAI station.
First impressions of the hotel
The 24-floor hotel was built by the Dutch architect OMA. It’s made from three triangular volumes stacked on top of each other. Driving up to the hotel in our taxi, you can’t help but we wowed by the building.
And the lobby doesn’t disappoint either. It’s like stepping into a world where chic meets comfy, setting the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional stay.
The stylish and vibrant decor immediately catches your eye. The hotel is all about rocking the modern look, from bold colours to artsy installations on the walls. It isn’t just a hotel; it’s a modern art gallery and we all took a beat to soak in the cool visuals.
Checking in was a breeze and the staff were friendly and professional. The reception area is decked out with minimal furniture and gives off a welcoming and classy vibe. You can tell they’re all about the little details.
The self-serve confectionery counter adds a nice touch. We certainly helped ourselves to a few! There’s also complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby. These small things make all the difference. And attention to detail didn’t just stop at the reception – it followed us right into our room.
Hotel Rooms at nhow Amsterdam
Our room was like a cosy paradise that nailed both style and comfort. The sleek design mixed with practicality, creating a vibe that was on-trend yet homey. Big windows let in tons of natural light, showing off the smart layout and cool furnishings.

I usually struggle to sleep on the first night in any hotel but the beds were so comfy I nodded off as soon as my head hit the pillow. I love that the rooms have floor to ceiling mirrors, great for doing my makeup with the natural light from the windows.
A pet peeve of mine at hotels is slow internet but no issues with the WI-FI here!

The breakfast restaurant is located on the 17th floor and is the perfect place for guests to begin their day. They can choose between the breakfast room with a stunning floral décor or one of the terraces for a breath of fresh air.
There’s an excellent selection of dishes on the restaurant’s menu, inspired by international cuisine. We didn’t get to eat there because once we ventured into the city, we were gone all day.
